"Before long, I ran out of breath, and I looked up to see the sunlight gracing the water's face; but I was already in too deep, so I forgot about the surface and let myself sink."

Woke up to the news that my phone bill is unpaid, and I am currently waiting to see if I am going to get a job so now I’m worried. They won’t have a way to contact me. I need to get a job to pay off phone bills and such on my own, but now what do I do? I guess I’ll try figuring something out. Maybe they can just email me instead of calling. I hate being a complication.

We’re the generation of women who will teach their sons to act respectfully instead of teaching our daughters to beware

This is everything I stand for.

Speak for yourselves! I for one will teach any sons and daughters I have to be respectful and beware because in the real world, men and women should be cautious and aware of their surroundings, and they should be respectful towards others regardless of gender.

^ That’s what I stand for.

your life is worth living even if you’re “not doing anything”

your life is worth living even if you are “letting life pass you by”

your life is worth living even if you stay in bed all day every day watching netflix

you don’t have to be big, beloved, important, beautiful, wealthy or famous

there is dignity in just being

it is ok to be

you merely have to be

" The secret of attraction is to love yourself. Attractive people judge neither themselves nor others. They are open to gestures of love. They think about love, and express their love in every action. They know that love is not a mere sentiment, but the ultimate truth at the heart of the universe. "
" People are rivers, always ready to move from one state of being into another. It is not fair, to treat people as if they are finished beings. Everyone is always becoming and unbecoming. "
" Who the fuck cares where you went to school or where you work? The question is: Is your everyday experience good, healthy, beautiful? Because I have to tell you, while it might be cool to work for a company like Google, Apple, or The New Yorker, if your job is stupid, stressful and your boss is an asshole, there is nothing good or prestigious about that. While it might seem right to go to a school like Berkeley, if classes are overcrowded and students are nervous, anxious, religious zealots from Orange County, are you sure you want to go there? What’s good about that? To believe in prestige is to privilege abstract, collective impression over palpable, daily experience. To which I say: fuck prestige. Do what serves your everyday vitality. "
" When someone says something racist or homophobic I give them a look that’s like “you just farted and that smell will never go away” "
